On Saturday May 23rd, in Via Po, ten people took the oath to become Italian citizens in the presence of Turin’s Mayor, Stefano Lo Russo.
A symbolic moment welcoming all those individuals who have obtained Italian citizenship since the beginning of 2026, together with those who will become Italian citizens in the coming months.
The ceremony took place as part of the Neighbours Day celebrations: the civil oath of allegiance was followed by a social lunch and a rich programme of activities featuring the Municipal Police Band and the Sermig Chamber Music Group, as well as sports teams from Turin CUS (University Sports Centre) and dance groups from Balla Torino, added to which were several workshops organised by the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts and the Centro Scienza.
