European Ties

European Ties is a cultural project which began in support of Turin’s application to become European Capital of Culture 2033. Already active in the city, it aims to grow over time, gathering and promoting cultural, social and emotional ties between Turin and other cities across Europe. It is an initiative that will accompany the city on its journey towards 2033, building a network of relationships and experiences with its eyes set on the future.

Why European Ties?

Because Turin is a city forged from encounters, exchanges, movements of migration, shared roots and open horizons. Every individual who has ties to another European city contributes to the narrative of the city’s collective story.

With European Ties, we are bringing these stories together – ties of family, friendship, study, work or travel – to give a voice to a multicultural Turin that is in constant dialogue with the whole of Europe.
