Organised by Turin’s “Rete delle Case del Quartiere” (Network of Neighbourhood Houses) in collaboration with the Turin Cultural Foundation, the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts and the BJCEM (Biennale des Jeunes Créateurs de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée / Biennial of Young Creators from Europe and the Mediterranean), “L‘Europa è di Casa” (Europe Is In the House) is a project of participatory curation and artistic/cultural co-creation that aims to actively involve communities in the development of the application dossier for European Capital of Culture 2033.
The “Case del Quartiere” (Neighbourhood Houses) will host eight diverse, cross-generational working groups. Participants will be guided by artists to develop ideas for artistic and cultural initiatives to be included in the application dossier. To select the artists who will lead the groups in the conception and drafting of their projects, an open call was launched, aiming to attract both individual artists and collectives with proven experience in participatory practices and relational or community art.
